Rudy Seelmann

 

 


Rudy left UWF in 1998 to accept an early admission to attend Mercer University School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia.  While in pharmacy school, he was a member of The American Society of Hospital Pharmacists,  The American College of Clinical Pharmacology, and The Rho Chi Honor Society.  In his third year of pharmacy school, he was awarded the Merck Award for outstanding performance in clinical service.  During pharmacy school, he was on the Dean’s List each semester and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.97 in May of 2002.


After receiving his doctorate, Rudy completed a one year residency program with an emphasis on internal medicine and infectious disease at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola FL.   Upon completion of residency, he continued to practice at Baptist Hospital where he still is today.  His responsibilities include rounding on intensive care patients to optimize pharmacological management, antimicrobrial and pharmacokinetic consults, preparation and administration of intravenous chemotherapy agents,  and serving as a medication information specialist for the hospital. 


Rudy is married to Leslie (Chenevert), who also graduated from UWF (2000).  They have two beautiful children:  five-year-old son Luke and three-year-old daughter Abby.
